Wanderlust: The Art of Travel Exhibition

Wanderlust: The Art of Travel. Feb 25- Mar 12, Bear Gallery

Beverly, MA February 12, 2008 - Montserrat College of Art's Bear Gallery presents "Wanderlust: The Art Of Travel." Curated by senior Halley Murray, it is an exhibition of artwork that has been inspired by traveling and all of its counterparts, such as: exploration, new places, making discoveries, and leaving home. The word "wanderlust" literally translates from German to mean "desire of travel", and at Bear Gallery starting this February 25th, you can see a variety of different artists' interpretations of what it means for them to explore the world we live in. Wanderlust is one of the first big shows at the Bear that has opened it's doors to the greater community of artists from Boston and beyond, and hopefully will break the ice for other students looking to curate shows there beyond the Montserrat community.

Opening reception: Friday, February 29, 6-8 pm
